I can't find a comparison of the versions anywhere online: just how significant are the changes? is it any easier in the beginning of the game? because theres some stuff i really dont want to have to go through again, plus the headache of collecting all the collectibles i've gotten so far. I'm fairly certain overall it is just small changes that were implemented, nothing too noticeable I bet. I also ran into weird occurrences where I could get intel on warchieftans with regulars in the GoTY and I could not in the vanilla which threw me for a loop when I started playing it. I noticed the frame rate dropped big time for me in vanilla where as I never had it for the GoTY. I played GoTY first and went back to vanilla. Its just i shouldnt have to do all the crap I've already done over again, just because i liked the game well enough to get the GOTY version. other than having a super hard time in the beginning before i got my health leveled up and more abilities unlocked (which is how the game is supposed to be i hear), i haven't really come across any major problems. You ascend tall structures and engage in rhythmic combat against large numbers of swordsmen. How exactly is that? i don't find the combat being really rough or anything in vanilla. On the surface, Shadow of Mordor is Assassin's Creed set in the Lord of the Rings universe.
